One clock everywhere
Start on a project or a task, and the same clock runs on the web and the phone. No screen shows seconds, only hours and minutes.
Timesheets
One clock for the web and the phone. Crews punch in, foremen enter the day for people without a login, approvers see what needs a look, and approved hours become pay and labor cost.

From punch to payroll
Start on a project or a task, and the same clock runs on the web and the phone. No screen shows seconds, only hours and minutes.
Clean days approve in one click. Days that look off carry a one-sentence reason, so nobody scans every line.
Approved hours become a payroll CSV and a labor cost against the project, without typing them again.
01The clock
Start on a project or a task, and the same clock runs on the web and the phone. Switching jobs stops one entry and starts the next on the same minute, so there are no gaps or overlaps.
02Forgot to punch
Forgot to start the clock? Add a block as a from and to, or just hours, and Chantro shows where it lands before you save.
03Crew sheets and the week grid
A foreman picks the project, ticks the crew and applies one set of hours, then changes anyone's line. People with no login of their own are covered too.
04Your own forms
Build your own form from questions, tables, checklists, photos and signatures, or start from one of five templates, like a daily crew sheet or a T&M ticket.
05Your paper form, made digital
Upload a PDF, photo, Word or Excel file, or send a phone photo by QR code. Chantro drafts the digital form beside the page, with numbered boxes to check it against.
06Submit and approve
Days that look off are flagged for the approver, each with a one-sentence reason, such as time sent later, a very long day or no lunch. The clean days approve together.
07Pay periods and overtime
Overtime follows rules you set once, and a closed period exports as a CSV for your payroll. Chantro keeps the hours; it does not run payroll.
08Labor cost against the budget
Set a labor budget for each project in hours and dollars. The project's Labor tab shows hours worked, cost to date, budget pace and the forecast at finish.
09On the phone
Every press is saved on the phone first and shown at once, then sent in order with the minute it was pressed. A wrong phone clock does not change anyone's hours.
It exports approved hours as a CSV for your payroll, and does not file taxes or pay anyone. Overtime rules are yours to set, and your company is responsible for following the law that applies to it.

No. Chantro records and approves time, then exports the hours as a CSV for your payroll. There is no direct feed to payroll services today.
Yes. You set weekly overtime, daily overtime with double time, a seventh-day rule and exempt people. The rules are yours to configure, and your company stays responsible for complying with the law that applies to it.
The phone Time tab saves every press on the phone first, shows it at once and sends it in order with the minute it was pressed. A wrong phone clock does not change anyone's hours. Presses are sent while the app is open, a press older than 7 days is entered by hand, and a press the server refuses is listed with the reason. There is also Copy last week on the weekly grid, and location on a press only if your company turns it on.
Yes. Hours-only entries need no project, and office staff can use a weekly hours grid. A person on a weekly hours-only form has no clock.
Yes. The crew sheet records a day for everyone ticked, with or without an account. It is on the web today, not in the phone app.
No. One running clock and no overlapping time per person are enforced by the database, not just the screen. The running clock shows in the top bar on every screen, and you can edit an entry later and the day updates.
The builder saves your draft as you go, with drag and keyboard moves. Sections cover questions, tables, checklist grids, photos, signatures and fixed wording. A publish checklist runs first, a published version never changes under anyone, and assigning a form previews who is affected.
Chantro reads a PDF, photo, Word or Excel file and drafts a form. It checks that counts add up, reads per-column meanings, lists what it left out and lets you re-read one box or one page. It uses AI credits, about 11 to 14 a page, and takes about a minute a page. A clear page reads better than a smudged one.
The approver is the named one, then up the reporting line. It is never you, unless allowed. A day moves between open, submitted, sent back, approved and reopened, and the history is kept. A timer left running is held and the person is asked about it.
Rounding rules, per diem and other pay items apply, exempt people are handled, and the payroll CSV is kept exactly as it was sent. The export is a generic CSV file.
No. The Labor tab covers labor cost only, not materials, equipment, subcontracts or invoices. Closed periods stay frozen, and cost shows only to people allowed to see pay.
Not today. Chantro does not produce union, prevailing-wage or certified payroll reports.
Only if your company turns location on. Then it asks in plain words, and a location is taken only when someone presses start, switch, lunch or stop, never in the background.
Bring the paper timesheet your crews fill in today and we will show you what it looks like in Chantro.
Approved hours export as a payroll CSV. Chantro keeps the hours; it is not a payroll service.
