Plain-English summary (non-binding). We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you signed in, remember simple preferences (theme, locale, cookie-consent choice), and measure how the product performs. We do not currently run third-party advertising or retargeting campaigns, and we do not load advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and deploy a consent banner in regions that require one before loading non-essential cookies.
1. Overview
This Cookie & Tracking Policy (“Cookie Policy”) explains how SmartTech ProServe LLC (“Chantro,” “we,” or “us”) uses cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies on our marketing website at chantro.com and within the Chantro product. It supplements, and should be read alongside, our Privacy Policy.
2. What these technologies do
“Cookies” are small text files placed on your device by the website you visit. Similar technologies include pixels (tiny images used to register events), web beacons, local storage, session storage, and device identifiers. Collectively, we call them “cookies” in this policy. Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (remain until they expire or are deleted). Cookies can be set by the site you visit (first-party) or by a third party whose code is embedded in the page (third-party).
3. Categories of cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary
Required for the site or product to function. These cannot be disabled without breaking core features such as signing in, keeping your session secure, routing your traffic to a healthy server, and defending against fraud and abuse.
Legal basis: legitimate interest; essential to deliver the service you requested.
3.2 Preferences
Remember non-essential choices such as theme, locale, region, sidebar state, and cookie consent itself.
Legal basis: consent where required, otherwise legitimate interest.
3.3 Analytics & performance
Help us understand how visitors discover and use the site and product — page views, navigation flows, feature adoption, crash rates, and performance. Where possible, these are configured to use first-party cookies, IP truncation, and no cross-site identifiers.
Legal basis: consent in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland; legitimate interest elsewhere.
3.4 Marketing & measurement
We do not currently run third-party advertising or retargeting on our marketing website. If and when we add marketing measurement or retargeting — for example, to measure the effectiveness of a campaign — we will list the providers here and, in regions where consent is required, gate those cookies behind affirmative consent. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (under CPRA / CCPA definitions).
Legal basis: consent (EEA/UK/Switzerland); opt-out available to U.S. residents.
4. Cookies at a glance
The specific cookies we set change over time as we iterate on the site and product. The table below summarizes the current categories, typical providers, and retention. For a current, exhaustive list, open our cookie preference center on chantro.com.
| Category | Typical providers | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Chantro (first-party), our CDN and WAF | Session, authentication, CSRF, load balancing, bot mitigation | Session to 12 months |
| Preferences | Chantro (first-party) | Theme, locale, cookie-consent record, workspace switcher state | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics & performance | Chantro first-party product analytics; error monitoring (Sentry) | Page views, feature usage, client-side errors, performance | Up to 14 months |
| Marketing & measurement (website only) | None currently deployed | Not in use. When we add conversion or retargeting partners, we will list them here and, where required, gate them behind consent. | N/A |
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies and similar identifiers are set by third-party providers that perform services on our behalf. Today that is limited to our error-monitoring provider (Sentry) and our CAPTCHA provider (Cloudflare Turnstile) on the marketing website. We do not control those providers' cookies and their use is governed by the providers' own policies. If we add analytics or advertising partners, we will update this section and, in regions that require it, obtain consent before loading their technologies.
6. Consent & your choices
We currently load only strictly-necessary cookies and first-party preference and analytics cookies that do not require consent under U.S. state privacy laws. If and when we add cookies that require affirmative consent under the EU/UK ePrivacy regime (for example, non-essential analytics beyond what legitimate interest permits, or marketing cookies), we will deploy a consent banner in those jurisdictions that lets you make an affirmative choice and withdraw it at any time.
U.S. residents can opt out of any non-essential cookies (once deployed) through the mechanisms described in Section 8 (Global Privacy Control) and their browser's cookie controls.
7. Browser controls
Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies or notify you when a cookie is being set. Each browser is different; the “Help” menu of your browser will tell you how. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or completing actions in the product.
8. Global Privacy Control
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals from supported browsers. When we detect a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out of “sale” and “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we do not sell personal information and do not currently deploy marketing cookies, GPC does not disable anything in the current website experience; if we add marketing cookies in the future, GPC will disable them for your session.
9. Cookies inside the product
Inside the Chantro product, we use only strictly-necessary cookies and preference cookies (and our own first-party product analytics where permitted by Customer configuration). We do not load marketing or retargeting cookies inside a Customer workspace.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices change. Updates will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date. If a change materially expands the categories of cookies we use or the partners we share data with, we will refresh the consent banner.
